Configurable products
A configurable product seems to be a single product with lists of options for each variation. However, each option represents a separate, simple product with a distinct SKU.
Notice: If you have not already done so, please activate the SAWS Datamodel for Complex Articles
Since cs16 supports multiclassing, now products can be assigned to multiple classes.
For configurable/variant products please assign the SC_MAGENTOCLASS_VARIANT to the variant product:
The SC_MAGENTOCLASS_VARIANT class is created automatically by activating the “Complex Articles Datamodel” see above.
You can find the attribute for Magento variant products in the CS Setting:
Navigate in the PIM Studio and open a configurable product in the edit mode.
Set the Magento product type to “Configurable product”:
Now you can configure the variant items:
Notice: Here you will find the instructions how to fill the table for complex articles automatically.
Go to the tab “Data” and add a new variant.
Add the variant product and save your settings
Meaning of the settings for a single variant in Magento
Label | Description | Example |
LinkedPdmarticleID | Linked product | HLT 50 Flat |
Quantity | unused for variants | – |
Changeable Quantity | unused for variants | – |
Default | preselection | checked |
IsDisabled | product is not sent | unchecked |
Sort Order | sort order | 0 |
Choose the configurable attribute and save the settings.
Rule for configurabel attributes in Magento
The configurable attribute have to be a selection field and the SAWSConnector settings for the attribute must be “global” and “configurable”.
Magento_is_global: Global
Magento_is_configurable: checked
You find the attribute settings for the SAWSConnector in Settings -> Attributes -> click on a single attribute.
Note: Only attribute type “Simple Selection Field” can be a configurable attribute in Magento!
The mapping table for configurable products in Magento
The mapping table automatically builds for configurable products.
Notice:
The instructions for configuring variant products in the SAWSConnector (Source data set) can be found in the section 2.2. Configuration -> Magento Plugins: SCMagento::Format Variant Article.
