Adding Jobs

After you have added at least one station and one source data set, you can start adding jobs to your SAWSConnector. Navigate to the SAWSConnector module and open the desired station in the edit mode:

You will be taken to the station overview. Click on the “Add new job button” in the middle of the screen:

Defining Job for:

Synchronizing attributes

The first job you should configure has to synchronize your attributes from CONTENTSERV to your Magento shop. Only after Magento knows your attributes can products and category assignments be synchronized.

In the CS backend, navigate to the SAWSConnector module. In order to add a new job, click on the “station overview” button of the station that you would like to add the job to:

The station overview will open up. It displays the chosen source data set on the left handside, all existing jobs in the middle and the station on the right handside of the window:

In order to add a new job to this station, click on the “Add new job” button on the upper left handside of the screen:

A new window will open up, displaying all the settings you need to make for a job:

For the example given above, please choose “attributes”. The root node defines what tree or sub tree from the PIM View tree will be synchronized. Select a synchronization method and save your job.

As the synchronizing method you can choose all data or – after the initial synchronization has already taken place – just very specific data sets (for example, since the last run).

Synchronize products, categories and images

In the CS backend, navigate to the SAWSConnector module. In order to add a new job, click on the “station overview” button of the station that you would like to add the job to:

Choose a name for your job, for example “Synchronize products, categories and images”, and select the source data map. Then the dialogue will refresh on the basis of the chosen source data map and display the available actions:

For the example given above, please choose “categories”, “products”, “pictures”, and “product assignment to categories”. The root node defines what tree or sub tree from the PIM View tree will be synchronized. Select a synchronization method and save your job.
