Configurable products

Configure settings

To configure so called configurable products, the following settings have to be set:

After having updated the data model, the class structure structure should look like the following:

In the attribute mapping, the field variants should be configured as the following:

The Contentserv attribute for field variants should be PdmarticleID. For Format the plugin OXID::Format Variant Article should be selected and configured as in the screenshot.

Variant selector: The attribute value of this field is set on the product. The attribute is of type Reference to attributes and defines the attributes to select a specific variant of a product (e.g. Color).

Product values: For SKU the attribute that stores the unique article number should be set. Usually it is the same as the SKU for the products in the normal attribute mapping. Additional all possible attributes that could define a variant need to be added and configured. For Formatting usually the plugin cs formatted value should be selected.

Configure products

To have all needed attributes, the class “SC_OXIDCLASS_VARIANT” has to be assigned to the product.

The attributes OXID-Varianten-Attribute and SC::Komplexer Artikel then have to be set

After executing the synchronization of products, a configurable product should look similar to the following in OXID
