Station configuration

Adding stations

Now you can add a station to the SAWSConnector module. In order to do so, navigate to the SAWSConnector module and click on the “Add new station” button:

Select a tell-tale name and select the application (“Shopware” here). Select “Add new source data set and enter a name for the new source data set.
If you wish to use an already existing source data set, you will be prompted to select one of the existing source data set after switching “use existing source data set”.
Select if the instance you are about to creat is a productive, test or development system as well as the color you wish that instance to be displayed in. Save the new station using the “ok” button; the display of the window will change to the overview site. Click on “Edit station”:

In order to configure your station, please set the URL to the application (=your Shopware shop website) as well as the URL to the API of the application (the api website of your Shopware shop). Please see below how to activate the Shopware API and to find out about a API-enabled username and API key.

Enabling the REST Api

In order to activate the Shopware Rest Api, navigate to the user settings in your Shopware backend.
Please add a new user in the section Configuration > User administration (“Add user”). In “API access”, please enable the checkbox. Now you get the API key. Enter the User name and this API key into the Username and Password field of the station, see above.

Activate the Connector.
Now the source data set must be limited to a PIM product root node or a PIM view root node (depending on if you selected views or products to be exported in your source data set). Selecting a root node helps limiting the data that are to be synchronized. Indicate the upmost node of the tree – if you wish to export only parts of the tree, this setting can be made in the job later on. Please make sure the CS IDs of the root node is higher than the IDs of the sub-categories.

The basic configuration of the station is now complete. You can now move on to configure your source data set.
