Introduction to the Owl Cloud Services

The SAWS Owl Cloud Services are provided for all customers of the SAWSConnector and were added in the version 1.14.

The Owl Cloud Services are a centralized collection of all current and future cloud systems that we have to offer, ranging from the central storage of your backups to the connection of RabbitMQ. The Owl Cloud replaces the formerly known SC::Private Cloud entirely but do not fret: All of your existing backups have been successfully migrated to the Owl Cloud.

Our goals while developing the Owl were to simplify and streamline many systems and functionalities that we got acquainted with in our years of experience in connecting eCommerce systems.

Single-Sign-On for every application

Whether NextCloud or Redmine – all systems are handled by one centralized login system.

Completely cloud-sided implementation

All services are centrally managed on the cloud with regular updates. It is located in our German data centre in Munich.

Overview of all services in one compact dashboard

All services are manageable in the Owl dashboard which can be accessed in your Contentserv system in the SC::Navigator. From now on, every future service will be added to it.

In the following every service will be mentioned and explained in a short manner.

SAWS Licenses

Within this dashboard you will find all your licensed SAWSConnector modules.

If you want to try out new connectors or have feedback for us, please contact us via sawsconnector@saws.de. We always like to hear new ideas.

Backups

Store backups of any SAWSConnector configuration (e.g. datamaps, jobs, stations) in your private Owl Cloud. They can be accessed from any Contentserv installation linked to your license.

In addition, if you save your datamaps, automatic backups are made. So you can always restore an older version of your datamap at any time.

Take advantage of:
– Central storage of configuration backups
– Share information with your colleagues
– Traceability of changes
– Backup copies are automatically created when you save datamaps

RabbitMQ

More and more systems (e.g. Magento) support asynchronous data transfer. So-called MessageBus systems are used for this. Here, the source system (e.g. Contentserv) sends data into a data pipeline and all systems (e.g. your shop system) that are interested in this data retrieve the data and process it.

Your advantages:
– Distributed data processing
– Faster processing
– Data is not lost if the target system is not accessible

With the Owl RabbitMQ integration, we provide you with the framework so that you can start right away.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact sawsconnector@saws.de.

SAWS Nextcloud

Do you also constantly ask yourself: How do I get images to the online store or how does my customer get my product data and the images to it? They are too big to send them as a mail attachment and using an FTP server is just too inconvenient.

The SAWSConnector now offer the Nextcloud integration, a online file system where files can be securely shared and uploaded to directly by connector exports. As part of your license you get access to your own instance with 1GB free data quota!

Owl AI

SAWS goes AI.

All datamap rows that you map are analyzed and weighted. When you map new rows in the future, you will already get the most applicable formatting plugins for your Contentserv project suggested.

SAWS Ticket System

All our new feature requests or bug tickets are documented for the respective version in our ticket system https://redmine.saws.de.

If you do not yet have access, please contact us at sawsconnector@saws.de.

Conclusion

The SAWS Owl Cloud Services are the next step in the connection of systems. Let alone the possibilities of the Owl AI are limitless and new features with it are developed as we speak.
