How to create backups

Create Contentserv Database Backups

All connector configurations are stored in the database just like every other configuration in Contentserv. Thus, they can be backed up in the same manner. To back up the whole connector, select the connector suite and the Backup Restservice option. Due to the technical implementation of the datamaps, they are stored as a restservice object.

Warning: Selecting the Backup Restservice option stores all restservices. This means when installing the backup, it will reset all restservices (not only the ones of the connector and the datamaps) to the older point.

Create Configuration Backups

The configurations themselves can be stored as backups separately.

A convenient repository system from SAWS makes it easy to create backups of complete datamaps or individual rows of the datamap.

On the one hand, these backups serve as a backup of your settings, and you can use these backups in other datamaps or for the configuration of individual rows in the datamap.

There are 3 ways to create a repository:

SC::Download

Use this options if you wish to download the created backup as a JSON file. Even though it will not be deposited, it can still be used as a backup via import.

SC::Local

All files are stored locally in the context folder of the MAM. With that, your files can be freely accessed in the space of this system. However, to use them in other systems, they must be transferred first.

SC::Owl Cloud

All files are stored on a secure server and can be accessed from every system with the project “CSLive” and the licence “2e108-2019”. Therefore, configurations can be transferred with only one click, e.g. from a test system to a productive one.

Example

Create a datamap backup

Navigate to the datamap you want to back up and click the “Create a backup of the current configuration” button.

Define the backup settings as described in the table.

Value Description Example
Way of storage Select the storage location from the 3 options above SC::Private-Cloud
Please enter a name for the backup file You can use the name provided or assign your own SAWSConnectorShopwareRestservice – 108 – 20191212 152748.json
Backup category in the cloud Assign a suitable name to clearly structure the backups SAWSConnector Shopware
Overwrite backup of the same name If you want to overwrite a backup, click here. Unchecked
Backup type Backup of the whole datamap
Description of the backup Select the channels to be exported german_customer
Selected target Target as selected above  SC::Private-Cloud

Press OK and start the backup. If the upload was successful, you can find the upload in SAWSConnector → SAWSConnector Cloud:

Import the backup

You can import the created backup of the datamap into a new or an existing datamap.

To do this, go to the datamap and click on “Overwrite current configuration with the selected template/backup”.

A dialogue opens to select the backup:

Then click OK, after a confirmation the import starts. With this, you have the complete configuration of a datamap over carry.

Example

Import the datamap row
