Actions

Delete older log entries, Export data

Select export data here. If you add “delete older log entries”, all log entries older than x (x being configurable in the general CONTENTSERV options) will be deleted. Please note: ALL log files for ALL jobs (also from other stations) will be deleted. Deleting log files is generally recommended if performance is not as desired with your CONTENTSERV system.

Root node

Any root nodes from either Products or Views, depending on the setting you made in the source data set.

Set the root node from which you would like to export data.

Job related tasks

several possibilities, for further explanations, please see below

Synchronisation methods

several different settings

Select if you would like to synchronize all data or for example only data that changed within the past 24 hours.

Synchronisation processes

“Run directly and wait for it” or several processes at once

Select if you would like to synchronize your data using one process (=run directly and wait for it) or if you would like to use 1 or more processes at once. More parallel processes will make your export faster, espescially if there is a lot of data to be exported. However, several processes may have an impact on the overall performance on your system. Choose wisely!

Price type to be considered upon synchronization

Indicate the external key of the price type you would like to export. Please see our chapter on price table management for further details.

Price sub type to be considered upon synchronization

Indicate the external key of the price sub type you would like to export. Please see our chapter on price table management for further details.

Target path of export file

Indicate a path that you would like to have the SimpleExcel Connector write your file to.

Select tabs for export, if nothing selected, all are exported.

Select the tabs of your template file that you wish to be contained in your output file. Any tab that is not selected here will be deleted from the export file.

Delete not selected tabs?

yes/no

If activated (=yes), the tabs that were not selected in the above mentioned field will be deleted from your export file.

Related tasks

Job related tasks allow you to add actions to your job. In the following example, we will show you how to configure a job related task so your output Excel file can be named dynamically and moved to any path or MAM folder you wish.
In order to configure a job related task, click on the plus button:

jrt1

In the 3 input fields, indicate if when the task should be carried out, what the task shall be and if you want your job to continue or to be canceled after the task. Following that, press the save button of the job for the task related job mask to reload and extend:

jrt

The following settings will be made available to you:

jrt3

The following table will explain the input fields:

File name of the output file inclduing file format

enter any name you desire or use the place holders below to use dynamic names

always include the file format. For example, your input for this field could be {USER:UserName} – {JOB:StartDate}.xlsx

Output path

indicate a path where your output file should be saved to

This setting overwrites the setting you made in the station! Example path ../{project name}/data/cache (add your actual project name to the brackets!)

Output path CS MAM (prioritized)

any MAM volume or folder

if you enter a setting here, it will overrule the setting you made in the above field AND the setting you made in the station

Place holders for paths and file names

available placeholders to name your file dynamically
