Assets are not maintained within CS MAM but a third party system (e.g. cloud systems)

This will be the case for companies who host their media assets in 3rd party cloud solutions, such as Amazon’s cloud.

You need to set up the SAWSConnector to export the URL to the images on that external system. Since this path will be different from the MAM path in the “prefix” (MAM paths may start with volumes/assets/images/image1.jpg… whereas the 3rd party system will host it under a URL, for example https://www.thisisyourcloudsdomain.com/URLpart1/URLpart2/ Shopimages/image1.jpg)

The process is the same as in the second step from option 2.

In the SAWSConnector this can be done using two plugins at once, firstly “SC::References – send specific value of a reference” to get the origional MAM path of a referenced media asset and secondly, “SC::String – transform (unformatted) values with transformation list”.

In order to be able to combine these two plugins, select the “SC::complex – multistep formating” plugin for your image attribute and click on the gear wheel symbol next to it to configure the above-mentioned plugins:

The plugin settings will open up. Click on the “+” icon to add a new line:

Select “SC::References – send specific value of a reference” from the list and click on the gear wheel button to get to the settings page,

Enter MAMPath as the attribute you wish to export and save your settings, close the window:

Add another line to the multistep plugin by using the “+” icon and select the plugin “SC::List – format value lists” and click on the gear wheel button next to it to make further settings:

Select the plugin “SC::String – transform unformatted values with transformation list”, save and click on the gear wheel button next to it to make further settings:

Select a transformation list and save your settings:

Force return of the references/values as array by switching on the checkbox and save the setting.

Save your settings in the data map and export your paths to your target system.
