GenericXML Tutorials

In this article, you can find all tutorial videos for the GenericXML Connector. Please note that all videos are in German and somewhat outdated, so the user interface may differ from your version.

General GenericXML Export

This video covers the basics of exporting using the GenericXML Connector. For a more in depth explanation in English, you can refer to the article Creating your First Export.

Multiple Values (Loop)

This video explains how to export multiple values at once, with a primary focus on the loop function. This section is also explained in the article Creating your First Export.

PIM references

This tutorial focuses on exporting PIM references of products. It also features the loop format. There is also an article that explains the topic in English.

DAM references

This tutorial covers how to export DAM references. Keep in mind that this video is a bit older, and at that time, DAM was called MAM. The video also explains how to export based on a condition. You can read more about this topic in this article.

SAWS Price Table

This tutorial explains how to export SCP price lists without using a loop, which is only applicable when there is a single price list.

This next tutorial is also about price lists, but it uses a loop. This is necessary if you have more than one price list assigned to at least one product.

Stock

This tutorial explains how to export stock with a loop.

SC::Channels (Distribution channels)

This tutorial covers exporting distribution channels via a loop.

Multiple nested references

This tutorial covers one of the most complex features of the GenericXML Connector. It explains how to export nested data. Multiple loops are used because the data is nested.

PXM/CS Tables

This tutorial covers exporting Centric PXM (formerly Contentserv) tables and variants in BMECat format, which are commonly used in PXM tables.

Sub Datamaps

This tutorial covers exporting sub datamaps. This is a very niche use case but can be useful when needed. For example, it allows you to export a whole variant head along with its variants.
