Import/Export & copy of data map rows

Export and import of data map rows

Starting with SAWSConnector version 1.7.x and higher, you can export data map rows. This might be helpful if

  • you are trying to deploy a test row you configured on an approval/test system to a productive system
  • you would like to copy rows from one data map to another data map
  • you need support from us with the configuration of a data map row (simply send the export to us via email)

In order to export a data map row, click on the “Export” button next to it and save the JSON file on your computer:

In order to import this file again, click on the import button next to a data map row.

In the file selection dialogue that opens up, navigate to the desired store folder in your CS MAM module and click on the “Upload” button (see red marks below):

In the upload dialogue, click on browse and select the file you exported or drag&drop it to the dialogue:

In the upload dialogue, click on “Start upload”:

The file will be uploaded to the CS MAM module. Select it and click on “OK”:

Your data map row will now be imported to your data map.

Please note: the import/export of data maps will render a JSON file that contains ALL settings from your row, including source attribute, target key, selected formatting option/plugin as well as all settings (= settings behind the gear wheel button) of a row. Even if you have very complex settings consisting of several layers, all layers will be included within the export file.

Duplicating data rows

Duplicating data rows can be helpful if you need to add a data map row that is going to need similar settings to another data map row.

Please note: if you need to copy a data map row from one data map to another data map or from one system to another system, please use the import/export function described above.

In order to duplicate a data row, simply click on the “duplicate” button of the data map you wish to copy:

The data row will be duplicated and displayed as the last line in your data map.
