Job Parameters & Context Parameters

Job Parameters are values that can be used in the scope of an export job.

They can be used with the following Syntax: {JOB:parameterName}

Example of this screenshot: {JOB:recipient} and {JOB:subject}

They can be inserted into almost any connector configuration, be it formats or job-related tasks.

Use Case in Formats

Job parameters can be used in any format setting, where placeholders are replaced.

In my case, I selected Send configurable parameter value, since this format allows me to enter a string where placeholders are replaced.

I want to export these two job parameters, separated by ” — “.

Then these are exported into my target key. Note, that these are taken from the job, meaning, if I use this data map in a different job with different job parameters, the result will differ accordingly.

Use Case in Job-related Tasks

Job parameters can be used in almost any text setting in job-related tasks.

In my case the job parameters control the mail recipient and subject, so I enter them in the according settings.

In the job, they are then correctly replaced.
