SAWS Sales Channel Reader

If you are not familiar with what a Value Reader does or what it is used for, I recommend first checking out the article Value Readers.

Explanation:

The SAWS Sales Channel Reader also known as the SC::Sales Channel Reader, can read products and channels, but only if they are assigned with SAWS Sales Channels.

How to Configure:

“Record Type” determines whether PIM Products or PIM Channels are read, so select the one you need.

If the record type “PIM Products” is selected, this reader will act like the normal PIM Product Reader, except that products are only exported if they have at least one SAWS sales channel that was set in the language mapping.

If the record type “PIM Channels” is selected, this reader will act like the normal PIM Channel Reader. But additionally, products can be reloaded via SAWS sales channels linked to the exported PIM channels. With this option is selected a new setting the job data source will appear allowing you to activate the reloading of products. Like that, this reader is the only reader that can export products and channel simultaneously.

Configuration of the data Source:

“Filter objects by these Workflow Statuses” is a filter option that allows you to filter objects based on their workflow statuses. For example, you could configure the Value Reader to only read objects that are in Online. However, keep in mind that most filtering is typically done in the job settings.

“Add Attributes of these Classes” is a feature that automatically adds the attributes of the selected classes to the mapping process. This can speed up the mapping, since you can preselect attributes through their classes.

“Add Attributes of these Classes (newline-separated)” is simply an extension of the Add Attributes of these Classes feature. Instead of selecting the classes, you can enter them manually, one per line.
