Price Table

The SAWS Price Table (formerly known as SC::Prices) is a component in the PIM included in the SAWSConnector suite. It enables detailed price management for products which is implemented for fast processing and frequent updates. External updates such as Excel/CSV imports or REST API are supported and encouraged.

Activation

The price table can be enabled in the Centric PXM settings in “SAWS > General > Prices”. After enabling the price table for the first time, a data model update must be performed since it adds an additional table in the database.

Once the price table is installed, its rights must be enabled for the intended roles in “General > Advanced User Management > [Role] > SAWS > Base Connector”!

The settings are listed and explained in the following.

Manage Price in SAWSConnector

Enables the price table for your PIM.

Show current prices by default

Enables to show only the currently valid prices (according to their validity date) by default. The display can still be changed in the dialog.

Copy the contents of the price table with when product is duplicated

Controls whether the price table entries are copied with the copied product. The price table is a separate database table from the product attributes in order to support the frequent updates. This means the entries will be copied in this table.

Automatically create unknown entries for price type and currency

The price types and currencies are managed in the PIM value lists “SAWSConnectorPriceType” and “SAWSConnectorCurrencies” which are auto-installed into your system. These are encouraged to be altered and extended to your needs.

This setting controls whether to automatically create new price types or currencies for unknown ones in the Excel/CSV import.

Tax Rate Attribute

You can provide a PIM attribute for the tax rate here. This allows you to set a tax rate as a product attribute and export it alongside the price entries, just like any other price column value.

Extend Price Table with these Attributes as Columns

The price table can be extended with additional fields based on PIM attributes. Since this is a change in the data model and the price table already has an extensive list of fields that covers most use cases, we recommend to only use this feature if it is really necessary.

Index these fields

The price table already contains useful indices for quick database searches. This option allows indices to be added to the additional fields defined in “Extend Price Table with these Attributes as Columns”.

PIM Appearance

The list of all prices is located here in the PIM.

The prices of a product can also be displayed and edited by assigning the price table attribute to your according product classes. (One will be auto-installed but feel free to create one of your own if you wish to do so.)
