Other Connectors
SAWSConnector Updates on the Centric SaaS
On OnPrem Centric PXM (formerly Contentserv) systems the SAWSConnector modules as well as its updates are installed on premise via SVN updates or the SAWS installer manually.
On the Centric PXM SaaS updates of installed modules such as the SAWSConnectors are handled differently. By default STAGE tenants (or systems) are updated every Monday at 1 am to their newest stability version (1.20.7 → 1.20.8), and the PROD tenants are updated every Thursday at 1 am. This update cycle can vary based on your tenant’s mode (Utility Mode, Zen Mode, etc.). Important: Our team at SAWS is not in control of these update cycles! Our team of developers releases new stability versions on Thursdays or Fridays to ensure that they are first installed by this automation on the STAGE tenant before the PROD tenants.
SAWSConnector update via the update tenant functionality
Even though it is not possible to alter the automated update cycle, it is however possible to force an update to the newest stability version of the SAWSConnector modules.
Head into Tenant Management > Management > Commands of your tenant. In the option Update your tenant the options latest, previous and deprecated can be selected. This option decides to which Centric version your system shall be updated to. Hover over the tooltip to see which versions these options represent (see screenshot).
Warning: This option updates your Centric system as well as all installed modules. Hence it can have unforeseen consequences.
No matter which Centric version is selected, all modules such as the SAWSConnectors will be updated to their newest stability versions, even if deprecated is selected. It is possible to select your currently installed Centric version. This will still update your modules without changing the Centric version.

Note: This functionality might not be available for certain tenant modes (such as Zen Mode).
SAWSConnector feature updates
The feature updates (1.20 → 1.21) are major updates with many internal changes and optimizations to the connectors. They are installed automatically but only after direct communication and planning between SAWS and Centric. There are always weeks between the STAGE and PROD updates to provide a longer test period for these major updates. All connector users will be informed about the update dates in our newsletter.
